Great Barrier Reef’s Fitzroy island national park is densely wooded and presents walking around the bushes as well as swimming and snorkeling. It go up to 269 metres, presenting impressive views from almost any point. In winter i.e. June to August, one can watch for humpback whales and other creatures from the lighthouse.

The Coral Gardens are situated at Lady Elliot Island on the Great Barrier Reef. It  is a very fascinating seashore dive with a maximum intensity of around 12 metres. The gardens were destroyed by a cyclone in 1992 but have recovered surprisingly since then. This is a really good night dive site with all types of aquatic life. Night dwellers like the painted Cray can be found out of their daytime hiding places.

 

Outer Rock Dive Site

Outer Rocks, is situated in the Keppel Group of Islands on the Great Barrier Reef. It has entry at 8 metres over fabulous edges rich in hard and soft coral. The ridge is known as Snake Paradise due to the inhabitance of olive sea snakes. There are many drains to discover, ledges, and a good variety of aquatic life. Green and loggerhead turtles are also usual visitors.
