Australian War Memorial
Australian war memorial was opened in 1941. It displays the war history of australia. It houses compilations of photos, pictures, films, war remnants and demonstration of old aircraft. There are also many miniature battle scenes. The Hall of Memory is the focus of the memorial. Leading to the Hall is the reflection pool, with the names of the 102,000 war dead inscribed on the Roll of Honour in its adjoining walls.

National Zoo and Aquarium
The National Zoo & Aquarium at Canberra is Australia's only combined zoo and aquarium. The zoo has the largest collection of big cats in Australia. It houses 34 endangered species, among several involved in breeding programs. The zoo is child friendly. Best scenes of Canberra can be viewed from Telstra tower. It is 195 meters above the peak of Black Mountains. It have both open and enclosed viewing platforms. There is also a revolving restaurant, snack bar and a coffee lounge available at the tower.
