Flame of the forest dining experience
Flame of the Forest is a exclusive dining experience which is just 15 minutes from Port Douglas, 40 minutes from Palm Cove and 1 hour from Cairns. Enjoy the sights and voice of the rainforest at night, the atmosphere only improved through lighting thousands of candles and flames. Dine under the ancient rainforest trees, beside a rushing mountain river, the shimmering of flames on its surface is a mirror to infinity.
Carnarvon National Park
The Carnarvon National Park, was discovered in 1844 by Ludwig Leichhardt, who called it Ruined Castle Valley. The most fascinating attraction of the park is the 30km long Carnarvon Gorge, with pure stonework walls mounting to heights up to 200m. In the main canyon, with a perpetual stream of water, there are trees of eucalyptuses, casuarinas and palms.
Cairns Museum
Cairns museum is situated in the School of Arts building, City Place. The compilation and displays in the museum include local history, native culture, mining natural history and other gatherings are available for viewing. A small admission fee is applicable but the museum is well worth a visit.
