New South Wales

New South Wales is Australia’s most varied State, abode to the country’s largest and most sophisticated city, Sydney. Wonderland of national parks, forests, mountains, ancient river valleys and historic townships neighbors Sydney. New South Wales is abbreviated as NSW.

Northern Territory

The Northern Territory is a central territory of Australia, covering much of the centre of the mainland continent, as well as the central northern areas. It shares borders with Western Australia to the west, South Australia to the south, and Queensland to the east. The territory is bounded by the Timor Sea, to the north, the Arafura Sea and the Gulf of Carpentaria.

Queensland

Queensland is a state of Australia which covers the north-eastern part of the mainland continent. It is Australia's second largest state by area. It is enclosed by the Northern Territory to the west, South Australia to the south-west and New South Wales to the south. Queensland to the east, is bounded by the Coral Sea and Pacific Ocean.

South Australia

South Australia is a state of Australia in the southern central part of the country. It occupies some of the most infertile parts of the continent, it is the fourth largest of Australia's six states and two territories. It ranks fifth in population among the states and territories.

Tasmania

Tasmania is an Australian island and a state. It is situated 240 kilometres south of the continent, from which it is separated by Bass Strait. The state includes the island of Tasmania which is the 26th largest island in the world and the neighboring islands.

Victoria

Victoria is the second most populous state in Australia. It is surrounded by New South Wales to the north, South Australia to the west, and Tasmania to the south, across Bass Strait. Victoria is the most thickly populated state, and has a highly centralized population.Victoria was named after the Queen Victoria.

Western Australia

Western Australia is a state of Australia, covering the whole western third of the Australia continent. It is Australia's largest state and is the second largest sub national entity in the world. It houses around 540 species of birds.
